A Personal Word From Tom Dooley

Hey Everybody,

Thanks for praying for my friend Tom Dooley.  Here’s a personal note from Tom and please don’t forget to keep him in prayer for a full recovery.

Tom writes:

This is the most difficult passage I have ever walked thru in my life.

Rehab is what I call the “moan and groan” stage where I’m looking for any small increment of progress.  But God has spoken to my heart and has assured me that He is restoring me.  Praise God!  Still, one has to walk on the dark side of this desert moving toward the promise land.  Surgery paralyzed my left side, so everything now is about small motor movement especially in the left hand and the left leg.

I am looking so forward to getting back on the radio and putting the biggest, baddest band in the land together called Texas Groove Kings performing rock, soul, pop R&B Jazz, inspirational and gospel. One of the first songs I will be singing is one of Elvis’ early rock n roll hits, PARALYZED.

Your prayers have meant so much– please continue. Melanie and I welcome the opportunity to pray for you as well.  Send us your prayer request, and we will stand with you as you have stood with us.

My specific prayer request is that God would cause the motor movements needed for me to go home.

With more love and appreciation that words can ever express,

Tom Dooley

Finish The Job Together

New show coming first of the week…if you’ve been waiting!  Thanks for your interest.  Please tell others about the show and keep writing and responding to the blogs…thanks.

As you may know…some support has come in for the new equipment we’re trying to get…but we want to finish the job.  Here’s the first post from a few weeks ago.  If you can help…thanks!

EARLIER POST:  We need new equipment, processors and bandwidth at our internet side for the next season for our radio and podcast ministry.  I won’t bother you with all the details…but after three years our hard drives are full and slow and sometimes don’t work…it’s time for an upgrade and a major spring cleaning.

Maybe someone who listens to FULL CIRCLE is looking for a big need to give to…instead of just sponsoring a particular episode here and there.

Or, if you know of a foundation or grant that might be open to considering our ministry…let me know.  Or a company that would be open to endorsement or underwriting.

Please write me at info@fullcirclejesusmusic.com if you’d like more details and how you can help in this significant need.

Thanks!

I Love My Friend Tom Dooley And I Believe In Prayer For His Healing!

Folks, I am not going to wait to eulogize a friend that has been dear to me…Tom Dooley, producer of THE JOURNEY, heard on over 200 radio stations from flagship station KVTT-FM in Dallas. (www.mastermedia.org)  You may not be aware of the fact that it was Tom who strongly urged me to start the FULL CIRCLE JESUS MUSIC show and connected me with my first underwriter, Dr David Shibley from Global Advance.  Tom has often had a prophetic word for me and has encouraged me since I first met him at CBN radio in Virginia Beach in 1981.  He is a prince and a true friend.

It has been confirmed that Tom Dooley has a tumor. The specifics of what kind and treatment are still unknown. They do know that it is big and it is deep in his brain. He was admitted to the hospital to try and control the swelling of his brain. The swelling, and not the tumor, is what is causing difficulty with his motor skills.

Throughout this ordeal Tom has had a very positive attitude. He believes that this is in God’s hands, and he, along with the rest of the family, are trusting God to heal him. Regardless of the diagnosis, Tom is determined to fight whatever this turns out to be. Tom & Melanie are both extremely fatigued.

Please pray for rest and peace for them. Please continue to pray for his doctors and the medical staff treating him. They are so very grateful for everyone’s prayers.
