A Personal Word From Tom Dooley

Hey Everybody,

Thanks for praying for my friend Tom Dooley.  Here’s a personal note from Tom and please don’t forget to keep him in prayer for a full recovery.

Tom writes:

This is the most difficult passage I have ever walked thru in my life.

Rehab is what I call the “moan and groan” stage where I’m looking for any small increment of progress.  But God has spoken to my heart and has assured me that He is restoring me.  Praise God!  Still, one has to walk on the dark side of this desert moving toward the promise land.  Surgery paralyzed my left side, so everything now is about small motor movement especially in the left hand and the left leg.

I am looking so forward to getting back on the radio and putting the biggest, baddest band in the land together called Texas Groove Kings performing rock, soul, pop R&B Jazz, inspirational and gospel. One of the first songs I will be singing is one of Elvis’ early rock n roll hits, PARALYZED.

Your prayers have meant so much– please continue. Melanie and I welcome the opportunity to pray for you as well.  Send us your prayer request, and we will stand with you as you have stood with us.

My specific prayer request is that God would cause the motor movements needed for me to go home.

With more love and appreciation that words can ever express,

Tom Dooley
