That version of “Hoedown” is by a group called Bela Fleck and the Flecktones and it is from the album Outbound.
Bela Fleck is probably the greatest banjo player of all time and combines all elements of jazz, bluegrass, classical, rock and so many others to truly grow a unique sound. And the musicians he surrounds himself with in the group (Victor Wooten on bass, Jeff Coffin on saxophone, and Future-man on percussion) are also the best in the business. Also, that album Outbound won a Grammy the year it was released. Check them out and enjoy!
