Pam Mark Hall on Episode 184

Hi everybody,

Well, here’s the first post of the new year…thanks to some of my friends who have given financial support to make it possible.

It seemed appropriate to feature the legendary Pam Mark Hall on this episode. Pam has been living in Nashville for some time now and I have had the joy of sharing her journey with here…but this week, after packing everything up and selling her condo, she makes the move back to the west coast. We are going to miss her.

Pam Mark Hall was somewhat of a musical prodigy having learned to play the piano by age 6, performing and playing guitar by age 9, and forming her first group called The Chantells at age 12. She is one of those veteran Christian musicians who began singing her songs about her new found faith back at the beginning of the Jesus music era… sharing those pioneering moments with a host of other female singer / songwriters including Honeytree, Jamie Owens Collins, Janny Grein, Karen Lafferty, and even Amy Grant.

Enjoy this interview and many of her early classics as you down load or go to ITUNES. You’ll enjoy the journey too.

From FULL CIRCLE With Love – Episode 182 and 183…Remembering Keith Green

Hi everyone and blessings of the season to you.

I’m hoping that you have the time to download not just one FULL CIRCLE show, but 2 shows onto your IPOD for your holiday travels!! I hope that you will share them with family and friends who’ve never heard the show or need to be reminded of the great history of early Jesus music!!

I’m “sharing the love” this season with a Part One and Part Two special from the late and much loved Keith Green. Without a doubt, Keith was one of the most respected and influential musicians in Christian music..not only for his talent but also for his commitment to Christ despite trials and tribulations along the way. His life truly reflected his songs. I know, because I was part of the Last Days Community he and his wife Melody formed back in the mid-70’s in Southern California.

Listen to Part One before Christmas and Part 2 before the New Year or whenever you have a few moments.

Just go to the (Playlist 151 – Present) box and you’ll find it or have it automatically downloaded when you sign up at ITUNES.

I am giving special thanks again to Steven Weyhrick, Robert Henninger, Joshua Inman and Pastor Davis for their consistent underwriting of the show for you to enjoy.

Would you like to add your name to this list of recognition? With so many groups asking “at the end of year donations” for their ministries…I hesitate to ask you again for your help. I believe that the best way we can know what we should do with our finances shouldn’t be just to benefit at tax time…but as the Lord leads and to give from a generous heart. As I said, like everyone we have some real and pressing needs at present and your gift, whether large or small makes a difference. So if you are led to use the PAYPAL button on this page…let me thank you and bless you for your generosity!!

Episode 181 – Passing It On To The Next Generation

Hi Everybody,

Well, Thanksgiving and Christmas time are here again…a time for families to get together for celebration, reconnection and reflection. Let me be the first to wish you a blessed holiday!

So, since the focus often is on family time…it seemed like a good time for a show looking at “1st and 2d Generation” Jesus music artists. On Episode 181, I’m featuring a song from a veteran Jesus music artist and then featuring a song from one of their children who took up the mantle playing Contemporary Christian Music. I think you’ll enjoy this “past and present” reflection.

Speaking of the past…Wow! It has been so long since I’ve heard from many of you. The show IS continuing with the regular support of a few like Robert Henninger, Steven Weyhrick, Joshua Inman, and Pastor Davis…but let me be BOLD to ask the rest of you to help if you can.

We are approaching the end of the year and many find that supporting a ministry they believe in with a “year end” gift…benefits them at tax time. So, “PRAY AND OBEY” what ever you feel the Lord shows you to do to help support FULL CIRCLE JESUS MUSIC. We have some real and pressing needs in our studio at present and I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and help.

Special Guest Ed Raetzloff Featured on Episode #180

Hi Everybody,

How many of you remember the Blue Jug Band? Blue Jug recorded 3 albums and toured as an opening act with the likes of Lynard Skynard, the Allman Brothers Band, the Charlie Daniels Band and even Molly Hatchet.

On this episode we had a chance to sit down and talk with special guest and founder of the band, Ed Raetzloff. His music is unique as it is probably the only authentic southern rock Jesus music ever released to the general public. Ed’s music had some of the hottest guitar licks in CCM at the time and his lyrics had an honesty and authenticity about them that stands the test of time.

Special friends David Fleser, Joshua Inman, Robert Henninger and Steven Weyhrick made this episode possible through their gifts. Would you like to make the next episode possible? Check at the PayPal button on our website and thanks!!

Phil Keaggy Releases THE COVER OF LOVE

My amazing script writer for Full Circle, Russell Baum, is a good friend of the legendary Phil Keaggy and sat down with him recently for an in-depth conversation about the release of a project called THE COVER OF LOVE.

If you would like to hear this special feature…please go to www.one-way.org and give a listen. While you’re there…check out the site and the digital recordings of hard to find early Jesus music.

Episode #179 Is Another Request Show…Joy, Joy!!

Hi Everybody,

Joy! Joy! It’s time for another request show on FULL CIRCLE…and we’ll be hearing from a variety of artists from the 70’s & 80’s all of whom had a deep desire to share the love of the Lord with their listeners and what they had learned in their journey along the way in the musical styles of their day.

How about music from Randy Matthews, Albrecht, Roley and Moore, The Pat Terry Group, Debbie Boone and David And The Giants to get us started?

This show is underwritten by faithful listeners like Dara Barnes and Robert Henninger and of course Steve Weyhrich. Gosh!! It is such a blessing that a few of you are helping keep FULL CIRCLE on the airways…what about the rest of my friends? Can you do something this week? It will really help!!

Guess what? I just received a letter from my first listener in CHILE!! What a joy to see the best of early Jesus music being heard around the world!! Thank you Jesus!!

The Way They Were, Episode #178

Hi Everybody,

Well my friends Steven Weyrich and Robert Henninger continue to be my partners in presenting to you another new FULL CIRCLE show….featuring those musicians who got their start in the secular world before the Lord came into their lives and the subsequent musical offerings that came after their conversion to Christianity.

We’ll explore the “before and after” of folks like Barry McGuire, Johnny Rivers, Dion, Mylon LeFevre, Bob Dylan, Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman and even Lou Gramm from Foreigner.

It seems that in the 1960’s and early 70’s the idea of free love, drugs, communal living and eastern religions just left many of those searching for a new way to live feeling empty inside even after filling their lives with many of these things. If fact half of the performers on this episode come from that era and only found the answer they had been looking for all those years in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Be sure and click the playlist button and see what I mean and this week would you tell just one friend about the show and if you haven’t done so…like us at FULL CIRCLE JESUS MUSIC group page on Facebook…AND request to be a member of the group!!

Tribute To Early Pioneers Who Have Passed…On Episode #177

Hi Everybody,

You, know it is always sad when we lose a pioneer of Jesus music, so on this episode we’re going to pay tribute to 3 Jesus music artists who went on to be with the Lord during the summer of 2011. Within the span of 2 weeks time we lost Dan Peek, Norman Barratt and Janny Grein. If you’re unfamiliar with these musicians we’ll fill you in on their lives, their ministry, and their music.

Would  you consider your support of FULL CIRCLE JESUS MUSIC as we continue to recall the days of early CCM?  We have not been able to post a show for a while…but here’s hoping and believing that the drought is over.  Thanks for your prayers and thanks again to Rev Davis and Bob Henninger for pulling us through!

Check out our past posts and archives this week as well as some new pictures on the website.

Hi Everybody,

Back To The Rock With Special Guest: Greg X Volz On Episode #175

On this special episode I’ll be featuring an interview I had with the legendary voice behind the veteran Jesus rock group called Petra. Perhaps you’ve heard of him? His name is Greg X Volz and although he departed from the band 25 years ago …he’s back and better than ever; along with some of the other original members of the band including primary songwriter and guitarist Bob Hartman, Mark Kelly, Louie Weaver and John Lawry…the Classic Petra revival!

Along with the interview segments we’ll be hearing some cuts from both the early years of the band as well as a song off their latest offering. We’ll also hear from Greg’s first band known as The E Band along with a track from a rare solo project he did called Xavier as well as some other surprises along the way….and I am happy to let you know that this show was made possible by Rev. David Davis, Joshua Inman, William Cribbs and of course…Robert Henninger with the help of my webmaster Steven Weyhrich!  (Ladies, you may want to step up for the next episode…just saying!!)
