Episode #179 Is Another Request Show…Joy, Joy!!

Hi Everybody,

Joy! Joy! It’s time for another request show on FULL CIRCLE…and we’ll be hearing from a variety of artists from the 70’s & 80’s all of whom had a deep desire to share the love of the Lord with their listeners and what they had learned in their journey along the way in the musical styles of their day.

How about music from Randy Matthews, Albrecht, Roley and Moore, The Pat Terry Group, Debbie Boone and David And The Giants to get us started?

This show is underwritten by faithful listeners like Dara Barnes and Robert Henninger and of course Steve Weyhrich. Gosh!! It is such a blessing that a few of you are helping keep FULL CIRCLE on the airways…what about the rest of my friends? Can you do something this week? It will really help!!

Guess what? I just received a letter from my first listener in CHILE!! What a joy to see the best of early Jesus music being heard around the world!! Thank you Jesus!!

The Way They Were, Episode #178

Hi Everybody,

Well my friends Steven Weyrich and Robert Henninger continue to be my partners in presenting to you another new FULL CIRCLE show….featuring those musicians who got their start in the secular world before the Lord came into their lives and the subsequent musical offerings that came after their conversion to Christianity.

We’ll explore the “before and after” of folks like Barry McGuire, Johnny Rivers, Dion, Mylon LeFevre, Bob Dylan, Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman and even Lou Gramm from Foreigner.

It seems that in the 1960’s and early 70’s the idea of free love, drugs, communal living and eastern religions just left many of those searching for a new way to live feeling empty inside even after filling their lives with many of these things. If fact half of the performers on this episode come from that era and only found the answer they had been looking for all those years in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Be sure and click the playlist button and see what I mean and this week would you tell just one friend about the show and if you haven’t done so…like us at FULL CIRCLE JESUS MUSIC group page on Facebook…AND request to be a member of the group!!

Tribute To Early Pioneers Who Have Passed…On Episode #177

Hi Everybody,

You, know it is always sad when we lose a pioneer of Jesus music, so on this episode we’re going to pay tribute to 3 Jesus music artists who went on to be with the Lord during the summer of 2011. Within the span of 2 weeks time we lost Dan Peek, Norman Barratt and Janny Grein. If you’re unfamiliar with these musicians we’ll fill you in on their lives, their ministry, and their music.

Would  you consider your support of FULL CIRCLE JESUS MUSIC as we continue to recall the days of early CCM?  We have not been able to post a show for a while…but here’s hoping and believing that the drought is over.  Thanks for your prayers and thanks again to Rev Davis and Bob Henninger for pulling us through!

Check out our past posts and archives this week as well as some new pictures on the website.

Thanks again to an increasing number of friends who are helping underwrite the show during these days.

Back To The Rock With Special Guest: Greg X Volz On Episode #175

On this special episode I’ll be featuring an interview I had with the legendary voice behind the veteran Jesus rock group called Petra. Perhaps you’ve heard of him? His name is Greg X Volz and although he departed from the band 25 years ago …he’s back and better than ever; along with some of the other original members of the band including primary songwriter and guitarist Bob Hartman, Mark Kelly, Louie Weaver and John Lawry…the Classic Petra revival!

Along with the interview segments we’ll be hearing some cuts from both the early years of the band as well as a song off their latest offering. We’ll also hear from Greg’s first band known as The E Band along with a track from a rare solo project he did called Xavier as well as some other surprises along the way….and I am happy to let you know that this show was made possible by Rev. David Davis, Joshua Inman, William Cribbs and of course…Robert Henninger with the help of my webmaster Steven Weyhrich!  (Ladies, you may want to step up for the next episode…just saying!!)

The Hits Of 1986…Episode #174

Do you remember 1986?  On the musical front the first induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame takes place. The first artists to be honored are Chuck Berry, James Brown, Ray Charles, Fats Domino, the Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley.

But the Jesus Music songs that influenced us…were songs like Randy Stonehill and THE GODS OF MEN, Sheila Walsh and WHAT DO YOU KNOW, Petra and BACK TO THE STREETS, Tonio K and TRUE CONFESSIONS and so much more?  On Episode #174 we’re going to go back 25 years ago to the year 1986 and see what was in the charts and on Christian radio at the time.

Once again Mr. Henninger underwrites this new episode and Bill Cribbs has stepped up to underwrite the next show…which is on its way…thanks guys!!!

Thanks To My Friends…I’m Posting Episode #173

Hey Everybody,

In my last post I said I could enjoy getting use to posting 2 Episodes back to back….but even though it has been a while since support enabled me to do that…thanks to my friends John Carroll and Bob Henninger who have stepped up to underwrite the show…I am able to post Episode #173 and I think it’s worth the wait.

On this show, I thought I’d feature one song each from the years 1971 thru 1984. That covers a whole host of artists and styles including some popular favorites such as Amy Grant, DeGarmo & Key, The Imperials, Fireworks, The 2nd Chapter of Acts, & Phil Keaggy to name a few.

Recently someone wrote and asked how much it would cost to underwrite a show…and when I told them…they apologetically said they couldn’t send that much because things were tight and I said that I understood.  But, here’s something I wish I could get everyone to understand.  Even if you can’t underwrite an entire show…”what ever you can send” will add up with the “whatever you can send” from others…and guess what?  Another show gets produced and posted!!!  Thanks again for your prayers and support!!

Episode #172 Features THE CHOIR, Part 2!!!

Hi Everybody,

I could enjoy getting use to this….2 Episodes posting back to back!!   It just goes to show how quickly new shows can be heard when someone gives!!  Thanks to special supporters…Rob Shevlot & family…dear friends of The Choir…making it possible to share with you another of my favorite shows, Episodes #172 featuring THE CHOIR!!!  With everyone helping…like Rob did…we’ll keep the Jesus movement music alive!!

On this special episode I’m continuing my conversation with Derri Daugherty and Steve Hindalong the core duo making up the The Choir.

Many may have thought that The Choir’s days of creative output was over with. But 2010 proved to be a fruitful year of inspiration for Steve and Derri with the release of not 1 but 2 albums. The first was a cd of new material called BURNING LIKE THE MIDNIGHT SUN. The second entitled DE – PLUMED consisted of acoustic re-recordings of one song from each of The Choir’s 12 previous studio albums. Stay tuned…they’re in the studio and much more is on the way!!

Episode #171 Features THE CHOIR!!

Hi Everybody,

Special supporters…Bob Henninger & family made it possible to share with you one of my favorite Episodes….#171 featuring THE CHOIR!!!  On this special episode I’m talking with Derri Daugherty and Steve Hindalong the core duo making up the alternative Christian rock band along with Tim Chandler on bass, the smooth Dan Michaels on saxophone and lyricon and Marc Byrd on guitar.

The Choir was originally formed as Youth Choir in the early 1980s and were a part of the Calvary Chapel Christian punk an alternative music scene, which also included the bands Undercover, Crumbacher, Altar Boys and 4-4-1.  Did you know that Youth Choir was the first band ever to play at the Cornerstone Festival?

You learn a lot more interesting info on the band and hear some of their remarkable music….on this episode…so give us a listen!!

Support Has Come In!!…Here’s A Reminder As To How We Stay On The Air

Due to the generous support from listeners Bob Henninger and Connie Waldridge we have posted a new show!  Click the Playlist and listen to Episode #170, as we continue our retrospective look at the life, legacy and music of Christian Music veteran Paul Clark.  Don’t miss it, and I’ll be featuring THE CHOIR on the next episode as soon as underwriting comes in for those shows.

For its first hundred episodes, Full Circle was sponsored by a generous gift from  Global Advance, a Dallas, TX missions organization. After fulfilling their commitment to help get the program off the ground, we are now completely dependent on the freewill donations of our listeners.  There is no other funding. Recently three classic oldies shows left the airwaves because of a lack of support and this seems to be the trend. No-one can do this without help.

If you would to help keep Full Circle on the air, please consider making a donation. You can mail your gift to:

Full Circle Jesus Music

or, you can give a donation with credit card or debit card by clicking on the PayPal link on the left side of this page.

Thank you!
